Downloadable materials for those with restricted print disabilities
The National Network for Equitable Library Service provides free access to download audiobooks and other accessible formats restricted to people with print disabilities.
Perceptual disabilities (print disabilities) include at least one or more of these conditions:
- Severe or total impairment of sight or hearing or the inability to focus or move one’s eyes
- An impairment relating to comprehension
- The inability to hold or manipulate a book
Library Staff can set you up as a “print impaired” patron with access to download materials from NNELS.
The downloaded materials can play on a computer or laptop, Daisy player, CD player, use an Android or Windows phone or tablet.
